In a significant development, US law enforcement has named Duane “Keffe D” Davis, a former gang leader, as a suspect in the long-standing unsolved murder case of legendary hip-hop artist Tupac Shakur.

Tupac Shakur, a prominent rapper from New York, was fatally shot four times at the age of 25 in a drive-by shooting in Las Vegas in 1996. The incident has remained a mystery for over two decades. Recently, a breakthrough occurred when a Nevada jury charged Duane “Keffe D” Davis, now 60 years old, with murder involving a firearm.

The police disclosed that Davis orchestrated the deadly shooting after a brawl between his nephew and Shakur at a casino. Following his arrest in Las Vegas, Davis is scheduled to appear in court in the coming days.

Greg Kading, a retired detective from the Los Angeles Police Department extensively involved in investigating this case, commented on Davis’s arrest, indicating it was expected. Davis is seen as the “last man standing” among the network involved, as other co-conspirators or direct participants have since passed away.

Tupac Shakur, known by his stage name 2Pac, stands as one of the most iconic figures in hip-hop. His debut album released in 1991, and his tragic demise in 1996 has left numerous unanswered questions. In addition to his musical triumphs, Shakur gained prominence for his acting career, appearing in notable films like “Juice,” “Poetic Justice,” “Above The Rim,” “Gridlock’d,” and “Gang Related.”

As investigations progress, we remain hopeful for justice in the case of this legendary hip-hop star.
